Fun-packed weekend

We're now in the middle of the annual Malmö festival - a week long event that started off last Friday with the world's largest crayfish party. This year I went with some friends of mine, one of my friends' parents and their friends, and I had also managed to convince my own parents to join. Already 5 hours before the party began we reserved a table for about 25 people. It's a really popular event, and in order to get a good spot for many people you have to be there early. So, me and Ronnie and my mom guarded the table, had a few beers and waited for the others.

It was a helluva party! Some old family friends came too, and we had a really great time. I had 2 kgs of crayfish and was really full by the time I finished them all. And we sang, danced (yes, I danced!), drank and talked about serious stuff. You know, the type of stuff you talk about when drunk ("I've always liked you" and "You're my bestestest friend"). Then I went to see some old neighbours in the jazz tent. Had a few beers with them and then we went to se one of Sweden's most famous country singers - Hasse Andersson and Kvinnaböske band. Totally the best concert that evening!

Saturday was quite slow for me. I was tired, but I went down to Strandhuset, Sibbarp to listen to Malmö Bluegrass Allstars - a newly formed band with one of my colleagues on dobro. It was a fairly short, but energetic and fun concert. It turned out Jens was a great yodeler... Who knew?

And yesterday, Monday, me and Anna went out for some food at the festival. For those of you that have missed it, it's really something! You can try out almost any weird food in the world. I'm still waiting for the goat'n'rat stew though.

Tomorrow I'm off to Ystad for dinner. And not any old dinner, but dinner with my childhood friend Charlotte that I haven't met since 1985. I'm really looking forward to it and can't believe it's now less than 24 hours to go until I get to meet her again. I'm all happy in my entire body!
